Day & Times
Our classes are held on Thursday afternoons and Saturdays in our brand new studio in Toowong, Brisbane. See Calendar for specific class times. Each of our classes go for 45 minutes. We ask that you please arrive 5 minutes before your allocated class time to get ready to begin. Once you submit your enrolment, we will be in contact to discuss it with you and to allocate your child to a class which suits their needs. Please see the Calendar page for more information, or the Contact/Enrol page to enrol/enquire.
We offer a free trial class at TTTC; if come along to your first class and find that it just doesn't suit your circumstances, you will not be charged for it. If you decide after this first lesson to continue with TTTC, you will receive an invoice which includes the cost of the trial class.
When preparing for your first class at TTTC, feel free to check out our Class Structure below, and our Instagram and Facebook pages so that your child feels comfortable in knowing what to expect. They are more than welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in for their first class. We suggest leggings/loose shorts and a t-shirt to begin with. Of course, leotards, skirts and ballet dresses are acceptable too! If you do not own suitable ballet, tap or jazz shoes, bare feet for the first lesson is fine. If you wish to purchase shoes or TTTC uniforms, see our Merchandise page.
Each term is priced upon the number of weeks in that term and it roughly works out at just over $20 per class. Term invoices are expected to be paid within a fortnight of receipt, and a late fee of $5 may apply. Please note that those facing financial hardship may be eligible for Get Started Vouchers or may be able to receive support from one of our partner charities, please inform us if you wish to apply.
Active Eight / Tippy Toe Co. Studio
80 Jephson Street (ground floor), Toowong
Miss Courtney, our principal teacher, in consultation with other teachers, therapists and industry professionals, has devised The Tippy Toe Co.'s unique curriculum. Incorporating exercises tailored to the needs of our students with fun and engaging equipment and music, our classes have an atmosphere unlike any your child will have experienced. The class sizes are kept small from 6 to 8 students per class to ensure each dancer has individual attention as well as a warm group environment. Classes are walker and wheelchair friendly.
Articulation and co-ordination of body parts begins at the warm-up and progress through into all areas of classical ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap. Students will experience an increased sense of control and stability through repetition of our warm-up activities.
Ballet, Jazz & Tap Exercises
Our progressive exercises challenge students in a safe environment, where participation and inclusivity are key. There are no barriers to involvement at TTTC as each student's needs are met through tailored programs and goal setting.
Story Telling/Concert Preparation
Musicality, expression and creativity permeate each facet of a TTTC dance class. However, through storytelling at the end of each class, our students learn to communicate feelings and emotions with increased ease with the aid of movement.
